Workshop „Restoration of U Bein Bridge”, Mandalay, Myanmar

The overarching aim of restoration is “Keep the spirit of the bridge” as a living monument.
The full five-day workshop focused on
1. Topic: Present status of Restoration Work
2. Topic: Definition of the aims of restoration
3. Topic: Discussing the Inventory
4. Field trip for assessment of U Bein Bridge and guiding volunteers from Terchnical Univeersity Mandalay
5.Topic: The concept of Restoration & Comprehensive Booklet
The restoration works are expected to start in 2018 (see Myanmar Times below).
